Everyone deserves adequate nutritious food to live a healthy long life… but right here in Bernalillo County 1 in 6 people aren’t sure where their next meal will come from. To feed thousands of households each year, we purchase hundreds of thousands of pounds of food. We send trucks around town and rescue food from partner grocery stores and food distributors; safe, edible food that would otherwise be thrown away! We make dollars go as far as possible by partnering with Roadrunner Food Bank and by supplementing purchased foods with rescued and donated foods.
